| Public transport : |
| The majority of the sites in Rome are relied by a public transport net, which includes bus, tram and 2 subway lines that cross the city from a part to the other. The tickets are the same on all the transport media of the net and have to be bought in advance. They are available in all the metro stations, in fast all the tobacco and newspapers shops and machines situated in the major bus stops.
A common ticket BIT (biglietto integrato a tempo- integated time ticket) costs 1 Euro and is available during 75 minutes. For the bus, they can be used for a number of ill imitated ways on disposal. For the metro, however, one common ticket is available only for one way.
If you take the bus, you have to validate your ticket at the beginning of your first way and eventually of the last one. (To be sure that you don't have passed the 75 minutes of limit!)
As it is possible to do an only way by subway, your ticket has to be co validated at the depart subway station

| If you decide to move by taxi, you can go to one of the taxi stops situated in front of the Termini Station and in the principal touristic sites of Rome. It is also possible to call one of the taxi companies at one of these numbers:

Attention: when you ask for a taxi by phone, and if you accept the delay that you're indicated on the phone, the rate will be calculated from this moment. Normally the taxi drivers active their counter when they receive the confirmation of the way. |

| Reception desk at the airport of Fiumicino
A - National arrival (at the entrance, immediately after the steps going down the plate-form, in the hall of the arrivals)

In the airport, follow the indications for the train. Direct trains (Leonardo express) rely the airport to the Termini Station every 30 minutes. The first train leaves at 07:37 and the last one at 22:37.
The journey lasts 32 minutes. If you leave, for example at 16:07, you will arrive at Termini at 16:39; if you leave at 16:37, you will arrive at 17:09.
All the trains are equipped of entries for handicapped and offer only a service of first class.
The ticket costs Euro 9.50 and can be bought at the automatic machines before arriving on the trainway. |

| Arriving at the airport of Fiumicino

| The direct trains for the airport leave from way 26, situated at the end and on the right of the Station. It is possible to reach it from the ways or from the underway gallery "Forum", where there is a tapis roulant to simplify the way. The trains leave every 30 minutes, at 21 and at 51 minutes after the hour. The first train leaves at 06:51 and the last at 21:51.
The journey lasts 32 minutes. If you're leaving for example at 16:21, you will arrive at the airport at 16:53; if you 're leaving at 16:51, you will arrive at 17:23.All the trains are equipped with entrances for handicapped and offer only a service first class
The ticket costs 9.50 Euro and can be bought by the automatic machines situated in the station.
During the night
Fiumicino
For the departs and the arrivals between 23h30 and 5h00, a bus by night circulates between Fiumicino and the Tiburtina station. It stops at the Termini station.
From Fiumicino : 1h15 - 2h15 - 3h30 - 5h00
From Tiburtina : 0h30 - 1h15 - 2h30 - 3h45

| Airport of Ciampino: |
| More little than the previous one, this airport has principally charters flights and low cost companies. It is connected to the A Subway Line (Anagnina stop) by the Cotral bus. From Anagnina to Termini you have to consider a 30 minutes journey. Ticket price: 1,00 euro. The departs take place every 30minutes.
Attention: The public buses between the airport of Ciampino and the city centre don't circulate after 23 h. Taxi is the only way to go the city after that time.
There is also a private shuttle service who connects the airport of Ciampino to the Central station Termini. The buses leave every 40 minutes after the arrival of the Ryan air flights and Easy Jet and others low-cost companies. |
